Customer Review: Solid TV Tuner / Video capture card with great Windows 7 Media Center Support

This is a solid TV Tuner/Video capture card with great Windows 7 Media Center support. I installed the card and installed the drivers via the supplied CD and then within minutes I was in Windows 7 Media Center scanning for channels.
Digital and Analog channels work great and sound and video quality was very good.
One problem I had was that from the picture there are two Coaxial cable connections so I made the assumption that both of these were inputs for the tuners. However, one is for a cable input and one is for FM radio. I had planned to use one for my analog cable and one for my digital over the air antenna but was unable because the second input is for FM radio. This was disappointing at first, but luckily my cable provider provides HD cable broadcasts for the local channel in an embedded ATSC clear QAM channel, which actually worked out better because I got more stations and better quality than my antenna was providing. I think the card would be even better if you had the ability to use the tuner across both coax inputs OR using only one input. Allows for multiple input sources and flexibility.
Integration within Windows 7 Media Center was seamless and setup was very easy. Following the on-screen instructions worked fine and I didn't have any issues with the setup. CPU utilization is not a problem when recording shows and I didn't see any sluggishness when watching shows. The delay when changing channels is more than I'm used to with previous DVR and cable boxes, but I rarely watch live TV so to me this wasn't a big issue.
The provided WinTV software worked fine to tune channels, but was pretty much useless to me because there is no integrated TV guide to pick channels and shows to DVR. You have to put the times in manually to have it record. Useless. Never used it after my first experimentation. Went back to Windows Media Center. I would have liked to try WinTV because I'd like to record the DVR'd shows in a format besides the Windows Media Center DVR format.
Overall, I'm very happy with the controller and it does what I want it to do, which is record TV shows and allow me to watch it in Windows Media Center. Via Windows Media Center sharing, I can stream recorded shows to my Xbox 360 and to other Windows computers in my house. I did a lot of research and I still think this is the best tv tuner/video capture card option out on the market, at least in the price range that I'm willing to pay.
