Customer Review: Getting rid of the black screen

I've noticed mention of running this game under windows XP and coming up with nothing but a black screen. The same thing happened to my mum and until I had a chance to look at the computer, I discovered it was macafee personal firewall blocking requests to the internet from two applications (scrabble and another I can't remember off the top of my head). The problem is, the way the game interacted with the screen and the personal firewall popups caused the game to reach a state where you couldn't exit or return to windows. In the case of her laptop, I hibernated it with the hot keys, and when it came back up, I could see the two popups from the personal firewall. Once I accepted those the game worked great. This may or may not solve other reported problems, but it solved the problem on two dell laptops my parents have.
