Since my laptop was getting older and the battery started to die faster, it also heated up a lot faster since it is plugged in more. I was looking around at cheap cooling options and came across this.
Turns out this does its job well simply by raising the laptop and putting space underneath. It is a great and cheap option of the more expensive cooling methods for laptops. It's fairly sturdy, but not really meant to sit on your lap like some other coolers. This is more so to have on a desk or table. Good product, especially for the price.

My computer is almost a year old and never really had problems with overheating but recently its been blowing a lot of air. I always get bothering when my roommate's computer does that so decided that it needed a lift somehow. Thankfully this is a cheap quick fix you can take anywhere. Whenever I go to class or just use it at my dorm, I always have this on the bottom of it. I also bought a lap desk so when I use my comp on the bed. My computer is a 17" screen so its pretty huge, but all you need is the light lift. Worth the buy!Customer Review: Works perfect for a very hot-running laptop

I have an HP laptop that runs so hot it actually caused the finish on my laptop lap desk to bubble (yikes!) I purchased this after trying a couple of fans that were complete garbage, and it works like a charm. I'm not sure why others say their laptops slide off of it, mine doesn't budge. It did get a little smooshed after long use, but still provides plenty of lift for air flow. In fact, it worked so well it's disappeared on me - someone must have really needed it - so I'll be purchasing another one.Customer Review: Perfect for netbooks

I bought this about two months ago and use it every day on the subway during my commute. It's perfect for keeping my netbook (Samsung NC-10) from getting overheated since I have to put it on top of my bags to keep it steady during the ride. It's the perfect size for netbooks, actually, and I sometimes even use it on tables when I'm at a cafe. Though it is light it's not flimsy, isn't the worse for wear from being shoved in my bag quickly as I change trains, and has shown no sign of collapse.Customer Review: Absolutely love it

This is a great product at a reasonable price... unlike those $80 ilaps. I use this stand with my 13" ilap and I absolutely love it. It provides just the right amount of lift, is simple, portable, doesn't plug into a usb port, etc. You don't need something excessively fancy to prevent your computer from overheating, just something simple enough to increase air flow around the base. Thank you Handstands for providing an affordable alternative to all the overpriced laptop stands out there.
