These deffinitly do the job. I accidentally figured out a way to get more use than usual out of them. The screen protector sheet itself comes stuck to a plastic sheet, with another plastic layer the same size as the protector on top of it, and on top of that there is a plastic tab to pull the protector off the plastic sheet. When I peeled mine off of the main sheet, I then put it on my screen and pulled the tab off. Because I removed the tab so carefully the plastic layer under the tab and on top of the actual protector stayed on the protector. I left this there until it got scratched, then peeled it off revealing the real and more durable protector underneath. If anybody wants to try this I would suggest it. Why not get more out of the product than it was even made for?
Overall, even if you only use the product as directed, it does its job well and leaves no residue upon removal. I deffinitly suggest getting one at the same time you get a Nintendo DS so you never have to worry about scratching your screen.

The Hori screen protectors for the Nintendo DS are simply the best. I would recommend them to anyone who owns a DS. I can almost forget that they are there. I have tried other screen protectors (Pelican and other) and frankly, they suck. There is no comparison. Don't be cheap: shell out the 6.99 for these puppies and you won't regret it.Customer Review: A Must Have for the NDS!

These filters are the best investment you can make for your Nintendo DS. The top filter reduces glare and the bottom keeps the touch screen from being scratched. Easily removable and will not damage your DS like off-brand protectors. I only wish I had know about these filters sooner!Customer Review: The best!

These are great because unlike the touch screen surface of the DS you can replace the protector if they get scratched up. The problem I'm having after about 2 weeks of considerate DS usage with the filters is the scratches in the touch screen protector are more noticeable than any scratches I've accumulated on my DS touch screen over the last year. (I do realize that any existing DS touch screen scratches would not be eliminated by the filter and I've taken that into consideration.) I'm not dissatisfied with the filters but right now I feel like I'll end up spending about the same amount on filters as I would on a new DS every one and a half years if I were to keep replacing them as they wear out. I'll keep buying screen protectors but I'm not loyal to this brand by any means, that said user comments about competing products are much less favorable than this product.
