The item is very large. It's very wide from front to back.
Worst.
The CD player malfunctioned after 7 months of use. Keep in mind that no children have touched it. It is or was used for my newborn. The CD doesn't get recognized by the player. It appears to be a common issue. I wish i knew.
Purchase something else. I have had 15 dollar boomboxes that lasted me years.

Within 6 months of purchasing it, the CD player started acting up. Sometimes it would play a CD, other times it wouldn't. After pressing the play button, it seemed not to recognize that a CD was in place, because the CD wouldn't even be spinning. I just put up with it. Six months after that, the CD player stopped working completely. Fortunately, it does have a radio and cassette player function. CD player works fine (but have only had it for a few days, so can't vouch for its longevity). I bought it because it had the added cassette deck which I thought my daughter would have fun recording herself on- however it does NOT RECORD other than from its own internal sources (radio or CD). This player is overly large and doesn't do much. I am thoroughly disappointed with it and do not recommend it.Customer Review: Cute decoration, would be even cuter if it worked.

My whole kitchen is Hello Kitty teamed and I was SO excited to add this cute little boom box to my counter so I could listen to music while I cooked and washed dishes. It doesn't play CD's most of the time, about once out of every 50 times I try. And it ate the only tape I tried playing in it. The radio works.Customer Review: Only lasted 6 months...and now broken! I feel compelled to write this review since I am currently looking for a new replacement cd player for my daughter for Christmas. We book this Hello Kitty player last year for her birthday and loved it for about 6 months. The cover won't stay closed..cheap plastic latch broke off. So, if we are desperate, we have to litterally tape the lid close and then it will play music. Quite a pain and the whole reason I got this for my 5 year old was so that she could play music on her own. Have to tell you that she is very careful and was not the one who broke the lid. It is just made cheaply! Wish I had read these reviews before I purchased it.
