Customer Review: 2 Years of Hard Use and Still Working GREAT!

Gave this to our then 6 year old daughter for Christmas. We explained all of the buttons to her once, and we haven't helped her with it since. She listens to it every night, carries it all around the house and even outside with her. And two years later, it is still going strong! Not a single problem with the CD player, it's lid, or the radio. She even uses CD-Rs in it, no skipping or pausing problems. Note: our daughter is not very careful with her things, nor is she a tyrant.
Now, I can't comment on the tape deck, it hasn't seen much use if any at all. I also can't comment on the battery life; as it takes D's, we never gave her the option.
I would gladly recommend this radio to a friend!

I bought this Hello Kitty boombox for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas 08. We've really enjoyed it. It sits on my daughter's dresser and is used everyday. We actually put it in our luggage when flying home after Christmas and have had no problems. My 2 year old son knows how to turn it on and off too. My 5 year old niece uses this to listen to music in her room and for her "dance parties". The handle is perfect for carrying the radio up and down stairs, etc. Many reviewers complained about the sound quality. This has been in my daughter's room for about three months now. We use her CD's on the "repeat all" function overnight. She has quiet, relaxing music in her room overnight to drown out any sounds of televisions, her five year old brother, and our two dogs (large boxers).
Very cute item. Does not appear "cheap". She loves it.

and great for playing cassette tapes also ! I brought because I wanted something to play music in my room and Representing Hello Kitty in Sanrio store !
