I purchased this product in order to be able to record some gameplay footage from my PS3. What I like about this is that it only requires your pc to have one free USB port in order for it to work. Obviously you need to have a fairly decent computer in order to get the best experience but it is a really simple system. Connect the PS3 to the PVR, connect the PVR to your pc, connect the outputs to your TV or monitor a voila! You are up and running and recording videos like a pro. The price seems kinda high for how simple this device is, but I feel that it is completely worth it if you want to record HD videos directly from your gaming system. I highly recommend this product.Customer Review: Great Device

I primarily use this device for recording video game footage, and It works great. I've had a file corrupt, but It's not a big deal really. The one thing I have a complaint about is the absence of Mac compatible software. You must buy a $30 dollar program (HD PVR capture) from this website:

This product was very easy to setup and worked just the way I needed it too. I was recording 720P game footage with ease. I was even able to use my netbook, however I wasn't able to playback Hi Def until I got it over to my desktop PC. The loop though prevents any latency at all while it records making it easy to see and watch what you were capturing which saves money on having to get a strong PC to play 1:1.
My only problem is I can't use my PC monitor since the HD DVR only supports Component outputs for HD. But its hardly a problem for most and i'm sure if I look I'll be able to find a cable to suit my needs.

I was looking to buy a HD PVR to record gaming videos so i decided to come to amazon since they have good deals. After reading other reviews i was satisfied at what i read so i purchased it. And i have to say i am not disappointed setup was fairly easy it even comes with a male to male HD component cable, its a good one to. Although the USB could be a little longer but its fine since im using a laptop. Installing the software was fairly easy as well. Video recording was great the video came out with perfect sound, no frame drops, and perfect quality. So in all if you want a HD PVR you should really buy it here.Customer Review: Exceeded expectations

I'm fairly incompetent when it comes to technology but wanted to capture Blu Ray quality programming on my computer since I travel a ton and always find myself sitting on airplanes looking to kill time. This little device is pretty amazing. It took me about 15 minutes to figure out how to hook it up and another 10 to actually execute the hookup. Voila - streaming hi-def quality programming right into my computer. I think it's a steal for the price as I don't anticipate any Blu Ray recorders hitting the U.S. market for at least a couple of years thanks to our rich movie executive friends in Hollywood.
