I spend two hours a day twice a week sidestrocking with underwater turns in an olympic size pool year round. I occasionally may need to reinsert a headphone in the water but that is okay. I like this product so much, this current item was purchased on sale snd is still new in the box and is an instant backup for when the first one wears out which has been in use for over a year and I am afraid they will stop making this model since they updated the shuffle model again. I would recommmend this to family and swimming friends. Sure beats hours in the pool just listening to splashing and my breathing. One note, with these inserted, you hear nothing else so let your friends know you are not being rude. I would buy the multi-size and type earplug kit that is available to get the exact right fit. I had to fiddle around and actually have a different size in each ear. These earpieces can be reinserted if they fall out in the water with little trouble. I cannot imagine trying to swim with a waterproof case WITH wires on my arm, which seems to be what they are pushing these days. Buy This, some cheap goggles, and an old or refurnished shuffle or two and this should keep you happy until the next big discovery. Hopes its as inexpensive as this!!! I cannot imagine returning to swimming in silence....
