The set up was quite easy - I would say it is plug and play. You also have the option to charge your MP3 player through the charger. I can use it with my blackberry, as well as my ipod. The sound quality is reasonable good - but the expectation can't be too high for this or any other FM transmitter - since radio waves are used, there will always be some quality loss and interference due to other radio stations out there. If that's an issue with you, consider getting audio input hard wired in your car, but that can cost you a lot more.
Hence I recommend this product and am very satisfied.
