Purchased this item for use with the radio on my motorcycle. I was wary after reading some of the negative reviews, but decided to take a chance. Tried three stations until I found one that didn't have any interference. When I turned on the iPOD, I was pleasantly surprised at the excellent quality of the sound. The volume was slightly attenuated, but the radio volume control bumped the volume up over the wind and engine noise. Put the iPOD/iTRIP in my pocket and walked down the driveway and never lost the signal. Thanks for an excellent product.Customer Review: Roadtrip!

The griffin iTrip is one of the best ipod accessories on the market.
Pop it on the bottom of your ipod and you're good to go.
I drove from colorado to california with the itrip.
I did have to change frequencies occasionally, so it helps that I'm not lazy.
As for it's shortcomings, there are a few. The itrip will voraciously eat your ipods battery power, so I reccomend a car charge kit along with the itrip.
Another problem you may encounter is that there is a loud popping noise between songs.

Mine is two years old, and I recently lost it. Looking high and low, I soon discovered it had gone through my washing machine, then my dryer. It's scratched. It's dirty. It's beat the heck up. There's even some paint missing on the one side...but it still works. It WILL NOT QUIT. The reviews that say 1 or 2 stars are because they don't know how to use it. It is a phenomenal product, and I will continue to buy from Griffin for ALL my iPod accessories. Also, it does work with the iPhone. I keep reading reviews for this thing where they say how badly it works. Are you people morons?? I have tried several different brands of FM transmitters, including earlier iTrips, and the iTrip works just as good and usually better than the others. Plus you don't need to have it plugged into a power source to use it. Sure, it ain't perfect, but until you can afford your own portable radio tower, I think this device is one of the best one you can get. Not to mention how frickin' cheap they are these days($5!!). I found out about this little piece through a friend at work. She had gotten her's at a Electronic store (we won't say the name!!) and she paid $50 for it. Something told me to check Amazon before I went in the store and there it was!! Not only was it the SAME brand but it was less than half the price she paid even with the shipping!! You CAN'T beat that. The item is FANTASTIC for us folks with older cars, wireless is just the icing on the cake. I keep it in my car because I always use it.
