I was looking for a FM transmitter for my iPod and found this one sale for a price I couldn't beat. Originally I wanted a transmitter with a dock, but I love the versatility of this one. Without cords and running off the power of the iPod, I can take this with me beyond my car and share the tunes of my iPod virtually anywhere. I've never ran into a problem with my iPod's power draining so very happy I went with this version.
Cons: You do have to have the iPod within a certain range of the radio. I haven't had trouble with this yet, but you can't have a radio in another room on, carry your iPod with you and not expect it to get some static.
Had very fast results from this seller and shipping was free! That's as good as buying from Amazon directly!

So I read every single review about this product, and since I already have a griffin ipod case I took a chance. I love it! I am going to be spending the summer comuting 2 hours a day in a catering van with only a radio in it, and I'm usually in a kitchen that only has radios (the tape decks and CD players are usually broke) and this thing does what it needs to do! I live in a college town, not a big city so it is easy to find a staion. I dont have to take off my case to use it, which is cool because that was one thing I was worried about. And the best part is, I ordered it on Sunday night, and UPS knocked on my door on Tuesday afternoon!! So, it does what it says it's going to do,it's easy to use, it looks good, and I got it speedy fast, so I say 5 stars!Customer Review: itrip and usefullness

i paid 25$ and some change for this item with free shipping. works great. u will need a charger (more than likely) for this item as it drains the battery on your ipod fairly rapidly especially if you are constantly changing songs or skipping songs on random mode. setting a playlist and leaving your ipod alone you can get 3-5 hours of constant play. i prefer this i-trip better than the ones that already have the car charger affixed to the i-trip as those are a big bundled mess of wires that you always have to carry along with you regardless if you need them. you may want to purchase the one with the charger affixed if the primary use is in a vehicle...otherwise i think you will be satisfied with this. I love this item. It works great and I rarely have any static problems. It is great that it is wireless because I pass it to people in my car so they can pick the songs they want. Plus it is so small that I am able to carry it in my purse. The only bad thing is that it does drain your battery very fast (like in 3-4 hours). Since my commute is only about an hour total each day it is never an issue for me. But for longer trips I purchased the Griffin 9749-PJBLK PowerJolt Auto Charger for iPod. This allows you to use this item and plug it into the car lighter to charge it at the same time. I am so glad that I purchased both of these items. I tried others FM transmitters before this one and this item is the best one.Customer Review: Works Great

My brother had one of these, and it didn't work so well in his car. But mine works almost flawlessly in my van. I'm guessing that it has a lot to do with the quality and reception sensitivity of your car radio, as well as where you are able to position this transmitter. My ipod sits in a bracket mounted to an AC vent, and the transmitter hangs right in front of the car radio. If it's moved more than a foot or so away from the radio, it starts breaking up. But right there where it sits while I'm driving, the reception is amazing; not a single crackle of static; it's as if it were plugged straight into the sound system. Amazing. I'm very happy with this device.
