Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Gravis Eliminator GamePad Pro (PC/USB Mac)

Customer Review: Calling this a "controller" is a dirty lie
Summary: 1 Stars

This is by far the WORST controller I have ever used. The calibration is terrible, and the little "Precision" button is a joke. While playing Final Fantasy VII (with an emulator), my characters have attacked each other just because of the controller's sporadic nature. The up directional button doesn't work at all--my characters just end up going down instead--and the cursor goes crazy without even touching it. Please do not waste your hard-earned money on this device. You will be terribly disappointed. Today I went out and bought a Logitech Dual Action Gamepad for the same price at Best Buy. We'll see how that goes.

Customer Review: Durablity Stinks
Summary: 1 Stars

Maybe it's just me, but in about 1 or 2 months, the paint started coming off the joystick/pad with only the face of my thmb (no scratching). Also, about a week later, It just stopped. It died, no longer worked. I took it apart and nothing was loose. I think the circuts got messed up. Basically, if you are planning to do anything other than look at this gamepad, which isn't too pretty anway, don't purchase this (unless somebody pays you to do it)

Customer Review: Absolutely Horrible
Summary: 1 Stars

The D-Pad is horrible on this thing. I don't know if I got a defective product, but I can't get the controller to calibrate to a neutral position. Your best bet if you want a quality controller is to get one of those USB Playstation controller adapters and use a Playstation controller to play your games. In my opinion, the PS controller is the best controller ever made.

Customer Review: Nice Idea, bad result
Summary: 1 Stars

I love the feel of this thing. But yes, it is true that it wont callibrate well. I took the first one back and replaced it thinking it was defective. Unfortunately the next one was worse. The direction pad pulls to the left. You also have to download software from the Gravis site, and though this improves things somewhat, the D-PAD remains faulty.

Customer Review: TERRIBLE D-pad
Summary: 1 Stars

This gamepad has one of the worst D-pads I have ever used. Not only does the pseudo-analog functionality make it difficult to use in games that expect digital controls, the design of the stick is such that the pad gets stuck in the housing if you push it too far. Don't bother.
