Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Grace Wifi Radio (ITC-IR1000B)Customer Review: Great Technology! Summary: 5 Stars
We live in the country where it is impossible to receive radio broadcasts. Since we missed our morning dose of NPR - I decided to try the Grace. I was a little nervous as our internet is from satellite and was not sure if it would be fast enough, but it is working great. Set up of the radio is fairly easy if you have a modicum of technical skill. Within minutes I had programmed favorite stations from around the world. I was amazed at the wide selection of free programming available. It is a worthy competitor to XM Radio - only without the monthly fee! The radio sounds very good and is working very well. Very happy with our investment!
Customer Review: Great Radio;Great Price:Lousy packaging Summary: 5 Stars
The Grace radio performs exactly as advertised and serves perfectly as an internet radio. It set up in 5 minutes and the integration with reciva.com to establish your list of favorites is very slick. I use the headphone out jack to run the output through my stereo and it sounds fine.
I would have paid five dollars more to not have the @#$%$# stickers on the radio. I have already purchased the product- why do I need gluey advertisements on the radio. The sticker over the speaker was a particular pain to remove and some little pieces still remain. A 5 star product at a 5 star price with a 1 star presentation.
Customer Review: Simply amazing . . . Summary: 5 Stars
The "Grace Wifi Radio" is simply amazing. Even compared to the ease of iTunes, this radio is easy to setup, preset (or change) favorite stations, and use. There is just one speaker ... so it's not stereo, but the sound is rich and full -- easily filling a room. I bought one as an experiment and may yet buy more. If you have any problem with this radio, it's likely to be in the quality of your Wifi connection. It doesn't require lots of bandwidth, but it does require a solid signal and a built-in signal strength indicator helps achieve that. I'd give it five-stars easy.
Customer Review: Great Radio Summary: 5 Stars
I took my Grace radio out of the box and had it up and running in less than 10 minutes. The sound meets my needs and I think for the radio's size is quite impressive. It is very easy to find the stations you want to listen to. I found it easy to navigate through the thousands of stations to find the content that is most important to me. The only drawback is that there are only 5 Preset buttons for favorites. A remote would also be a nice enhancement. I am overall very pleased with the radio. At $167.00, it is a very good value compared to other radios in the category.
Customer Review: Buy it from JC Penney Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this from JC Penney's. It was outlet priced at $149.99. Shipping, handling and tax brought it to $174.32. The setup was according to the instructions. But, read all of them through first and follow them explicitly! That reduces the frustration quotient. The sound on its speaker is good, but it depends on the quality of the Kbps of the source.
64Kbps and above are excellent. 23Kbps is burbley. I have a Linksys router and the setup was according to instructions. My broadband is from Wild Blue over satellite. This item is a good value.
