Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Grace Wifi Radio (ITC-IR1000B)Customer Review: Easy to use. Lovely, warm sound. Summary: 5 Stars
I married a British woman and dragged her to America. I bought the Grace radio for her so she could keep in touch with her local scene - hear BBC news - etc. We've used and enjoyed it nearly every day since it arrived on our doorstep. Set up was a breeze. It found and connected to our secure wireless network instantly (after entering the network password). Stations are logically sorted by country. We've expanded our listening range from England to all over the world and have found some real gems. Radio FIP from France is a favorite of mine. The sound from the Grace box is warm and lovely (perfect for French radio). It's got adequate volume for a living room or kitchen. It's not made for thumping bass to entertain a room full of loud partiers - its sweet spot is Sunday morning lazing or to start off the morning (using the built in wake up function). It is what it is - convenient access to a donkey satchel full of world radio - and it does what it does very well. Wife loves it, I love it, the cat is indifferent.
Customer Review: Still works fine after three continuous years... Summary: 5 Stars
Firstly, I am a huge fan of Grace internet radios. This Grace 1000 (the original/classic Grace radio) was my first radio three years ago & continues to play 24/7 in my kitchen. I eventually figured out that my wifi signal upstairs in the kitchen was too weak (produced reconnect/buffering issues) & installing a wifi repeater (used a linksys WRT54GL running dd-wrt firmware which allows you to make it work as a wireless repeater-among many other possibilities) corrected that brilliantly. The 1000 has an external antenna (which is not shown in the picture) & there is no remote control for this unit. I also have a Grace 2000 (has internal antenna & included remote control) & the brand new Grace GDI-IR3020 with IPOD dock. I have never had a problem with any of them. As with any internet radio, if your wifi signal is weak you will suffer reconnect problems. Now my only problem is whenever someone runs the kitchen microwave the signal drops & reconnects. Haven't tried to solve that issue yet.
Customer Review: Grace WIFI Radio Model GDI-IR2000 Summary: 5 Stars
The GDI-IR200 is my second internet radio, the other is not from Grace and not Receva based. This radio has given me a lot more bang for my buck than brand X. The sound is really surprising for the size of the speaker and the listening options are a lot more varied.
I guess the only complaint I would have is the remote is to small for my BIG HAM HANDS. LOL I did have a problem with my new Grace Radio GDI-IR2000 that was not explained in the manual. On a late Sunday afternoon, I sent an e-mail to their customer service section.
I saw that they only had weekday hours so I figured that e-mail would be the best since
I hate calling any customer service office on Monday mornings. To my surprise and amazement with in a few hours I received an e-mail sent by Greg Fadul on his cell phone giving me instructions to take care of my problem. NOW THAT IS SUPER CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Customer Review: This is the future of radio! Summary: 5 Stars
I can't say enough good things about this product. If you're looking a radio that will play any internet radio station in the world without a computer, this should be your choice. The setup is easy (even with an encrypted router), the audio quality is much better than one would expect, and the radio is very easy to use and navigate. I also like the display and all the information that is shown. If your favorite station isn't one of the 10,000+ already available in this radio, you can easily add it in via the reciva.com website, which just like the radio is very easy to navigate. Radiophiles will LOVE this WiFi radio!!
Only two negatives I think of: 1) There is no battery option. This unit must be plugged into the wall. 2) For whatever reason, the stickers attached to the radio are very difficult to remove. However, the positives far outweigh the negatives! You will NOT be disappointed with this unit!
Customer Review: Greatest radio ever! Summary: 5 Stars
I'll admit up front I'm a real radio geek. Over the years I've bought Shortwave Radios just for the joy of hearing overseas broadcasts and police scanners to hear radio chatter. I signed up for Sirius for the added benefit of uncensored comercial free programing. But this radio surpasses all of my expectations and incorprates the best features of all of my past radios. Set up was a little confusing, but within a half hour we were up and running and I haven't been able to keep my hands off it since. Even while you figure out the extra features you can enjoy a wealth of stations from every corner of the world. I listened to broadcasts from Afganistan! Air traffic control from Dublin! Police transmissions from Detroit! Check out the bonuses like Pandora for music streams custom fitted to your personal tastes, and even access your Sirius channels if you are already a sattelite subscriber! Worth every penny!
