Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Solar Powered Battery Charger Charges 4 "D" - "C" - "AA" - "AAA" BatteriesCustomer Review: Does what it says it does Summary: 5 Stars
Absolutely could not believe how easily this worked. Stuck it in the sunlight (even through the window) and it charged AAA, AA, C, and D cell rechargeables. Had to special order (through Amazon) the rechargeable Cs & Ds.
Only drawback is you can only charge four of one type at a time (no mixing of sizes). Includes a cord (see picture) for solar recharging certain equipment (like cell phones) but I don't have any way of testing that.
Customer Review: Works Great Summary: 5 Stars
A little pricey, but works really well.Using a multimeter,It puts out 8 volts on sunny days.I use it for aa and aaa.Takes around 4 hours to charge 4 800amh aaa batteries and around 6 or 7 hours to charge 4 aa 1200mah batteries.Really light weight.I would be careful not to drop it or bang it around, which isn't that hard to do.
Customer Review: Works great charging cell phones Summary: 5 Stars
This was a gift for family living in a remote area in the Philippines. They don't have electricity in their home, but everybody there has a cell phone. This lets them charge the cell phones without paying to use somebody's generator. They've said it actually charges up the phones very quickly.
Customer Review: Portable and Adaptable Summary: 5 Stars
I appreciate that the device is compact and still adapts to 4 different classes of batteries. This product gives great peace of mind. The batteries operated perfectly. I used the Tenergy Premium rechargable batteries
Customer Review: Would like a meter to know the batteries are charged. Summary: 4 Stars
Most people reviewed this by saying it does what you want it to. That is true - I bought this with two sets of AAA rechargeable batteries for a baby monitor, and it feels great not having to buy new batteries every few weeks. I do wish this charger had a meter to let me know when the batteries in question are fully charged - I just remove the batteries when I need them (every four or five days), and they last. Overall, a good buy.
