Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Genius MousePen 8 x 6-Inch Graphic Tablet for Home and Office

Customer Review: Nice tablet at a great price!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this for my teenage daughter who has been asking for a tablet lately. I own an older model Wacom, but didn't want to spend that kind of money on something that might turn out to be just a passing interest for her. I didn't know how the Genius tablet would compare to the Wacom, but after watching her use and create some amazing artwork with it, I have to say it's well worth the money and I am very glad I decided to purchase it for her. I don't think this product would satisfy the demands of a professional digital artist, but for a hobbyist or beginner it is more than satisfactory. The pen is very sensitive, the drawing space is generously sized, and it's easy to set up and use. FYI, the product description makes it sound like this device only works with Windows, but it definitely runs on Mac OS X, too.

Customer Review: Great product!

This is the first tablet I've ever had. I purchased it because of the low price, thinking that I would just deal with the defects inherent in buying a cheap product. However, I have yet to encounter any defects! It works perfectly with my existing programs, the stylus is comfortable to handle, the tablet is light, easy to transport and plug in, and the pad is very sensitive. Definitely worth the money and I would recommend it to any first time tablet user. It's incredibly easy to use. My only complaint is the hot buttons on top all look the same, but I solved that by putting little stickers above the ones I use the most often to differentiate between them!
I can't imagine what more a person would want from a tablet, to tell you the truth, and why buy a $100+ one when you can get this?

Customer Review: I was scared but....
Summary: 5 Stars

This was my very first tablet, and I have never used one before so I figured spend low and if it doesn't work out I could give it to a friend as a gift.

But when I got it I was a lil scared. took me a while to get it all set up and like others say, the documents you get in the box are more useful to line a bird cage then help you. They don't even tell you how to change the tip, or batteries in the pen, and like I said I never used one before. the website is of no use either. so I fiddled around and finally figured out how to change the battery ( which did last at least a month after I got it. But still have no idea about the tip...)

So if your a noob like me and kinda scared to spend cash on something that might be useful then I'd say try this one first.

Customer Review: Great product, great price!
Summary: 5 Stars

Why pay more for a name? That's always been my philosophy. I am proven correct by the Genius MousePen. A Wacom of the same size will sell for roughly $200. I'm sure Wacoms are great, but I've found much joy in my new Genius and for a lot less money. Besides the wireless mouse and pen the tablet also came with a trial of Corel Painter X and Adobe Photoshop. The tablet was easy to install and the box that it came in proved to be perfect for storage when I'm not using it. I even took the tablet with me on vacation so my friends could play with it. Now they want one!
For talented artists this one is a must. I would highly recommend this tablet to anyone, regardless of whether they're new to the technology of graphic tablets or if they've been playing with one for years.

Customer Review: Great product

I don't see any reason why you would need to spend more money to get a Wacom or more expensive tablet. This thing works beautifully and does everything I could ever use it for.

I use it mostly for Photoshop - touching up pictures and drawing. It's great as a mouse replacement also - more control and sensitivity.
The only reason I don't use this instead of a mouse is because it's a bit more difficult to switch back and forth between the pen and the keyboard than the mouse and the keyboard. It only takes a second longer, but it can get kind of annoying.

Don't spend more money than you have to and don't let this price fool you. The tablet is good, the included software is good, and you don't need anything nicer or more expensive than this.
