Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Genius MousePen 8 x 6-Inch Graphic Tablet for Home and OfficeCustomer Review: Great little product at a super price Summary: 5 Stars
I was looking for a tablet to do user-interface mock-ups with virtual team members, and this was just the ticket. So far I haven't experienced any problems with it. I am able to keep it next to my mousepad, and I can use either my mouse or stylus freely. I already have a wireless mouse, so I have not used the one that was included. But it seems like a fine, light little mouse.
It took me a little while to get used to the drawing area. The tablet knows where the stylus is even when the stylus floats an inch above the tablet. Scrolling around is much different than using the mouse, but one gets used to it. Also, I work with two large side-by-side screens, and the tablet has settings the let me choose how much of this area is mapped to the tablet. It works fine with PaintShop pro, Microsoft Office tools (including OneNote), and Microsoft Expression tools.
I highly recommend this product.
Customer Review: Great for First Time Users Summary: 5 Stars
Like many people, I was looking for something less expensive than the Wacom tablets. I just needed something to do sketches with because it was getting old arguing with my sisters to get off the computer in order to scan my images and this tablet seemed to be a mix of the right price and serving those basic needs.
I haven't used it much, but it has been absolutely heavenly after finding the right sized brush on Photoshop (I use 100 pixel). I am working on a comic, so being able to go straight from sketching to final outlines is a huge convenience. And the lines I make feel incredibly natural as well. It was very quick to get used to.
So while it may not have a big name printed on the front, it is great if you don't want to pay too much and are looking into some new technology.
I also use this on Windows Vista if anyone is wondering if it will work on that system.
Customer Review: I love this mousepen! Summary: 5 Stars
I'm like a kid with a new toy! I design products at [...] and this mousepen has taken me to a whole new level. I love to paint with it! The writing feature is cool but I can type faster than I can write so I don't use it much. I don't know a lot about computers but it was easy to set up, even for me. I just received business cards that were designed by ME, using the Genius Mousepen to create an image of a lacy lavender heart, and then using GIMP fractal art software to alter the image! The card has my beautiful artwork on one side and my business information on the other. I'm so proud to hand them out! Before I got this mousepen I had been trying to paint with a hardwired mouse...how frustrating was that! So my review is this .... I love it, love it, love it!
I wish I could post a picture here, but I don't see a way.

Customer Review: My best buy this year Summary: 5 Stars
After using my sister's tablet a few years ago I wanted to have my own, but could never afford it... Until now. I ordered one for my birthday and couldn't wait to get it, and there was no disappointments when it arrived. It was bigger than I thought it would be, which is prefect because I thought it would be kind of 'dinky'. I love that it's plug and play if you don't want to install the drivers right away, but you won't get the varied pressures until you do, so be warned. It also works in many image editors like Paint shop Pro, Gimp, Photoshop products, Open Canvas and of course, Microsoft Paint and it even lets me use it before I log in to Windows. My only complaint is that is lags slightly in Open Canvas at times, but not enough to bother me much. I know I got a good deal for a great price. I'm going to buy another one for my boyfriend because he keeps trying to borrow it.
Customer Review: This is a great alternative to the more expensive models Summary: 5 Stars
This Genius MousePen Graphic Tablet is a great tool to have. At $50 the price is not out of reach for most people and it is a great tool.
What I like:
Set up was easy, it was basically plug and play for me - I didn't need the installation disk or even to read the directions. I just put batteries in and away I went.
The pen and mouse are sensitive and work really well. I was concerned they wouldn't be as responsive as I wanted for my more intricate drawings, but they stood the test.
The tablet surface itself is a good size, not to small but not to big either.
Works with any program any application, just like a regular mouse would.
The only complaint I think I might have is that the tablet is not also wireless. But this is a minor thing and does not all interfere with my enjoyment of it.
