According to my account this is the item i purchased but, what i got in the mail doesn't look exactly like the picture, which is odd. But this has to be what I purchased...anyway, I wanted this to use my turbo ps2 controller on a ps2 game being played on my ps3 (since my ps2 no longer works). in that regard it worked perfectly, no complaints at all. If you have a ps3 controller linked wirelessly to the system, just set it to a 2 slot using the PS button on it, then the controller you have plugged in the usb using this adapter will be the controller you are to use.Customer Review: GREAT ITEM AND VERY CHEAP

This is a great item for anyone who wants a cheap way to use secondary PS2 controllers for their PS3 console. You can simply spend less than $20 for the adapter and the PS2 controller combined verses the $30 - $54 for having the actual wireless Dual Shock 3 controllers. This item was tested on my 80GB PS3, I'm not sure how past/future PS3's will respond to this adapter. Otherwise from that, no issues on the game play or reliability of the device - works perfect and easy to use, just plug and play and that's the bottom line.Customer Review: Just what I wanted

PS2 Controller Adaptor for Sony PS3
I originally ordered one because it was so cheap and figured if it didn't work oh well. I wanted to be able to play with three other friends on call of duty, but a new controller would cost $55. With this I was able to use an old PS2 controller and this $4 adapter saving a lot of money. It works perfectly even L2 and R2 (in call of duty at least) great way to save money!

The one that Eforcity sells is fully compatible with my original Namco Tekken arcade stick that was for the original Playstation (PS1). The adapter itself works as advertised with no conversion lag with Street Fighter IV (4).
The only downside is you need a PS2 controller with the analog button in order for the arcade stick to work as it should. But this method saves me $70 - $150 bucks on ordering a current gen arcade stick that's probably not as good as the classic I'm using.

Got this really quick in the mail to play a fighting game with my brother with. It works perfectly fine with the first party PS2 controller. I haven't tried any third party ones. All the functionality is there, and it works just fine. You can even use the analog button on the ps2 controller as the PS button when it's connected to the PS3. Works great, buy this if you want a second PS3 controller but don't wanna spend another 50 bucks. This was only 14 bucks including shipping, works great!
