PS2 controller adapter for Sony PS3 this is a really great adapter so easy to use you just plug it in and play the PS2 controller works really good it just is not wireless but that is not really a big deal, the good part is you don't have to worry about batteries and it works almost as good as the original PS3 controller, it may not be quite as sensitive but it is awfully close, it also does not have the menu button in the middle of the controller, but that is not a big deal either, it is a whole lack easier and cheaper to buy PS2 controllers, So if you're thinking that this is probably a piece of junk well it isn't and I highly recommend it it is a really great piece of equipment!!!

I was just browsing around for PS3 accesories here on Amazon and I noticed this controller adapter for the PS3. At first I thought this was a knock-off accesory, then I decided to give it a shot and place an order. When my order arrived a few days later I was anxious to try the controller adaptor out and after starting my PS3 a few minutes later, it worked perfectly! I was able to do everything I did with my PS3 controller except use the sixaxis controls of the PS3 (since the PS2 controller doesn't support sixaxis controls). The PS2 Controller Adapter for the PS3 is a good way to save money (since actual PS3 controllers are expensive) and it's also a good reason to still use your PS2 controllers (that is, if you no longer play your PS2).Customer Review: Works with Dance Pad!!!

I just wanted to write this review to let everyone know that this adapter DOES WORK with dance pads. I had picked up High School Musical 3 Dance for PS2 on mega clearance. I have a 60GB PS3 that is compatible with PS2 games, but when I got the High School Musical Dance game home and tried to set it up I realized that I had no way to connect the dance pad. I ordered this item on Amazon from Eforcity and it works perfectly. I don't know if it matters or not, but if you are getting this for use with a PS2 dance pad on a PS3 I would suggest you choose Eforcity as your seller. Also, I don't know if this matters, but I always use USB port 1. I can do everything on the PS3 using the dance pad with this adapter. Works perfect!!Customer Review: This one actually works! I have 5 PS2 controllers and when I got a PS3, I didn't see the need to shell out $50 per controller so I can play with friends once in awhile. I ordered these adapters so I could just utilize my old PS2 controllers when friends come over. I use it for NBA 2K8 and FIFA 08 and they work great!
Even though with shipping the total cost is $6, I would recommend getting the one by eforcity here. Thinking that all these simple adapters are created equal, I bought two more at a local video game shop and unfortunately, the analog control sticks don't work on those (even though the light comes on). So do be careful if you try to buy from another vendor. All I know is... the ones sold by eforcity work.

I am very skeptical when it comes to adapters, and I am very familiar with how poorly adapters for various electronics work. However, much to my surprise, these ps2-to-ps3 controller adapters actually work... even with wireless controllers! I have two Logitech wireless ps2 controllers that I just couldn't bring myself to sell, and so I decided to put them to good use and buy adapters so I could have an extra 2 controllers for my ps3. Now, I've got two wireless ps3 controllers, and two wireless ps2 controllers. It works like a charm, and I haven't encountered any problems yet!
