I got this about 5 months ago and it has been a good way for me to charge 2 controllers without having to use both of my USB slots on my PS3. One problem this has is that when your controller is plugged in you cant see the lights flashing on the top of the controller. Also when plugging the controller in it doesn't slide right into place. Also the mini-USB input is upside down, but thats just annoying.Customer Review: it's good for what it is..

I have had this for a few months now, I am pleased that it does still charge my PS3 controllers, but I am not pleased that it no longer lights up anymore, if it still lit up then I would have giving this 5 stars, but since it doesn't I am just going to give it a 4.

Not sure why there are the negative reviews. One item that I did different is that I also purchased a powered USB Hub and had that connected to the charging station. This way, the controllers are on constant charge without the need to the PS3 being on and wired to the charging station. The powered USB Hub is the key.
I have to mention that else where on Amazon is a 2 station charger that I would have purchased as a first choice had I seen it. It has an adapter which clips on the controller with 4 contacts which fit into the controller USB connection. To charge it just lay the controller with the adapter into the cradle and that's it. You don't have to align the USB connector male and female ends together. I believe they were similar in price as well.
