Good sound, wired sounds better than wireless. Great wireless range, they'll reach every room in the house. They occasionally cut out when you get father away, but just turn them off and on again and they work. Using the wireless on my PC, I hear a definite sound when I move my optical mouse. When there is a movie, music, or a game making sounds, you can't hear the mouse sound, though. Also, in wired mode or when using on something other than the pc, there is no sound from the mouse.
The included 3.5mm cable is 6ft long, which is a little short, imo, but it is easily replaceable/extendable.
