Customer Review: good low cost directional antenna
Summary: 5 Stars

I have 7 local HDTV signals that transmit from a distance of between 10 and 25 miles from my home. I also have many trees and other homes nearby that result in multipath on the UHF channels. All 7 local HDTV signals are UHF in my area. This directional antenna reduced multipath and allowed stable reception of all 7 HDTV channels. I tried it first on top of the entertainment center, about 4 feet above the floor, and experienced occasional picture drop outs. I then placed the antenna on a horizontal beam about 12 feet above the floor. With the antenna on the beam, the signal strength improved and there have been no picture drop outs. In short, I would try this inexpensive antenna first. You may have to experiment with it's placement to get good results. But, that's true of any indoor antenna.

Customer Review: Great indoor HDTV antenna
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this antenna to use with a dVico Fusion 5 HDTV tuner card. I initially setup the card in my computer in the basement. I didn't think I had a chance of getting HD reception with this antenna in the basement. I was very wrong. I live about 13-15 miles from the transmitters, and receive all stations at 100%, execept our local WB channel. That one comes in at 85-90%. Will eventually move the antenna to the living room, upstairs.

If you're relatively close to your transmitters, this antenna is cheap and easy to set up.

I've now moved my setup to the living room on our first floor. All HD stations are at 100%. It is very directional though, so if your transmitters are clustered together give it try. If they are located north, south, etc., you'll need a non-directional antenna.

Customer Review: Finally - An antenna that works!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I am too cheap to subscribe to cable or satellite TV, so I am left with viewing our local TV stations. I have had indoor antennas, outdoor antennas, powered antennas - none of them worked. I always had shadows, blurry pictures, etc.
I recently purchased a new LCD flat panel TV for Christmas and started looking for an antenna that would somehow help. I read the reviews on the Zenith ZHDTV1 on this site and ordered one.
This little thing is absolutley phenomenal. I can pick up all the stations without shadows and the picture is crystal clear. Even the local FOX station which in it's "infinite wisdom" chooses to broadcast in UHF, comes in clear as a bell. I couldn't even watch the FOX station before. If you are looking for a great indoor antenna, buy this. I highly recommend it without reservation.

Customer Review: great product
Summary: 5 Stars

I was set to buy a $100 Terk-55 antenna to mount outdoors with a 100 foot cable run. This would have involved a lot of work, drilling holes in my house, and a long ugly wire across my back patio. As I was researching the Terk, I came across the reviews for this product. I was somewhat sceptical that a small indoor antenna would receive the signal from 30 miles away, but I figured I would give it a try. It works great! The picture quality for HDTV is fantastic and it took 2 minutes to install. It is very directional as others have said. If you point it a few inches offline you will lose the signal. If your signal is coming from different locations in town, you will probably have to change the direction of the antenna to get different stations. I can not recommend this product highly enough!

Customer Review: Works great!
Summary: 5 Stars

This thing works for me. I bought a new flat panel and was frustrated that I couldn't receive any channels well enough to watch anything. Hooked this antenna up to a 6 foot extension, put the antenna near a window and it works great. I pick up all channels (UHF AND VHF) in digital and analog. I am 60 miles outside of LA so reception is weird here, but I have no problems now. Now I get 4 NBCs, 12 PBSs, 2 CBSs, etc. I even get the NBC weather channel, The Tube (generic MTV), and Qubo (all day kids shows). I have no desire to pay for cable. The only trick I have had to deal with is that it needs to be aimed in a different direction for some channels (so I simply turn it a few degrees) and I had to get it near a window to get it away from the cement wall between my garage and the TV.
