I have had one of these since 2003 so it may have a different name, but it looked identical. Anyway, this thing works fine even to this day. But the funny thing is , i played tales of symphonia and my character ran faster for some reason the analog on the ps1/ps2 controller had a wider range than the gamecube, thus giving you the said effect. , this may count as a mod or a cheating device try it out with that game and see for yourself. i only noticed lag with smash brothers melee, and brawl, yes this converter should work with the wii, it works with my wii.
this is a device you must get, thnk about it ps2 controller on the wii. just cool. i remember metal gears solid 2 for the x-box was pressure sensitive, but thus converter trashes the pressure sensitive feature so consider this if you want to get one of these, so you want to point a gun in metal gear solid 2? you must shoot the bullet once you cock the gun, but with the xbox controller s american, it has pressure sensitive allowing you to cock the gun and put it away with out firing.... the japanese controller s has no pressure sensitive either, so buy american if you want pressure sensitive
