Customer Review: Not your ordinary vinyl

Some reviewers have said that this is glorified shelf paper, ah, no. I have to admit that I was a little hesitant to buy because of the price, and the fact that I only wanted the skin for the back of the device (do not want distracting print around the frame while I am reading) but I am glad I did buy.
First, this is a high grade skin made out of quality vinyl (probably more to it than that), it is just the right thickness to make it easy to apply without bubbles, and the 3M adhesive is amazing, remove and re-apply and it sticks great with no residue.
The greatest thing about this Gelaskin is that it gives the Kindle DX a slightly tacky feel when holding the device, which in its bare state is very slippery because of the metal back. Its not as good as the six inch Kindle with its rubberized back, but if you have clean hands, the skin gives you just enough resistance when holding the DX to make you feel like you have a more secure hold on your expensive e-reader.
