I needed a second power adapter for my Garmin navigation unit, since I use it in 2 different cars, and didn't want to undo and remove the adapter I installed in my primary car. This second adaptor is as good as the factory unit and serves my purpose quite well, not to mention that the Garmin NUVI navigator is the greatest thing since sliced bread!!Customer Review: Good to have gadget

I didn't realize that my Garmin came with a car charger, so I purchased a separate one. The description said a home charger not car. However, I am glad I have it because we can leave one in each car now. There is a bit of convenience for us. Also, they are mini-USB so a cell phone charger will work as well and vice-verse. This product works perfectly well but I still wish I hadn't bought it. I couldn't tell from the Amazon description if the car power cable came with the Garmin Nuvi I was buying. So, I bought the Garmin AND a power cable separately. The cable came before the Garmin and I opened it. Then the Garmin came and there was a cable in the box.Customer Review: Saved the day

Our nuvi 200 (several years old) had stopped working. I called Garmin and they immediately asked if I had replaced the charging cord with a third party item. I had. Garmin suggested an OEM cord and said they could sell me one or I could buy it online. Amazon had the best price. Like many electrical things, my GPS cable stopped working. I usually start at Amazon.com to find obscure things and of course found this option. I read the other reviews and made an easy decision. This cable is inexpensive and does the job. I have a Garmin 265wt and the problem was solved easily by ordering the cable and installing it.
