Compliments the Garmin perfectly. Examples of this product...... You were stuck in mud, now you're on the highway and car is vibrating, you know it is because of the mud in the rims..... you wonder where the nearest car wash is...... Just ask the garmin now that you have travel guide....... and it instantly tells you all the nearest car washes
Or if you are hungry , again the guide will advise you of where the nearest food outlet is, and it even goes further, if you were after a specific type of food, example chinese, it will only show you chinese food outlets etc.
The data comes on a SD digital card and installs easily into your garmin.

This little device is amazing. It is smart, fast, and easy to use. I have used it to find business meetings, new places to eat, and new routes to known destinations. It does not always have up to date information. It needs to have updates done more often and they should be offered for free.Customer Review: FANTASTIC !!

So far this has been a disappointment. I assumed this would cover most of the U.S., but it's limited to very large cities and the most popular tourist destinations, about 100 areas in all. Many states have *no* coverage. And coverage is limited to (at most)50 items per category. So even for major cities it lists only 50 hotels, 50 restaurants, etc, and many times far less. The SD card is 128mb, but only 20mb is used for data! You can copy the data from the SD card to the GPS, and there is no activation code, so the data isn't locked to a single GPS.
Most expensive 20MB of data I ever bought.

Well, maybe I was expecting too much but for the $50+ price I was expecting much greater coverage of the entire country. Not being a prior Fodor's guide user I was expecting this guide to be much more like the Michelin guides I used when in Europe. Wrong! The level of detail and coverage outside of just a few of the major metro areas is minimal to nonexistant. This product should be called "An Overview Of Selected Sites In North America" Not worth the money!
