The review by Daniel G. Lebryk says it all, and in detail. I was a little concerned after reading a few reviews, but we are traveling later this year and felt the risk was justified, especially now that the price has dropped from $95 to $86. The card arrived in a couple of days and the update took about a half hour total. All my saved addresses and favorites remained, and the map reflects new roads in the area. I highly recommend this if you don't feel the necessity to buy a new unit, since it seems some of them now come with lifetime updates. This is an update for the lifetime of your registered device. If you get two map updates, you are ahead and all the others are free. My device is about 10 months old and I expect to get a number of years use from it. This ensures my maps are always current and will extend the life of my item.
I had no problems with activation of the card. Updating takes time but that is true of any update I do. Their is almost nothing you need to do after plugging in your device and signing in.
This is an excellent price to update the best GPS on the market.

This product and program is a no-brainer for Garmin owners. Either continually pay for each update, or pay this one time fee and get them all!
Upon ordering this product, I received my code, entered it online and "voila" I'm done. Once registered, you can proceed to your maps section online and find out if there are updates for your system. If an update exists, they will provide you with a link and an activation code. Download the new map, activate and go.
I highly recommed this for anyone who has a Garmin GPS that qualifies.

An economical way to keep my GPS up to date. Large file took several hours to download and install, but it was easy and smooth. 3 days later, I went over 1000 miles thru CT, MA, VT, + NH, and was accurately guided,even
on several dirt roads and thru turns that were otherwise unmarked. I have driven in all 50 states, sadly before
having a GPS. It would have been a lifesaver in a nation of poor and missing signage! This lifetime update offering quarterly installments is a plus as roads and P.O.I. are constantly changing.

Amazon's Free Delivery took exactly one week. Activation on Garmin Site was quick and painless. 2.17 GB took 1:45 on my mid-speed CenturyLink telephone DSL and install to both my MapSource on PC and Nuvi 755 took another :24 minutes. I copied 2011.10.exe on my second PC and installed on MapSource there as well.
This updated my 2010.40 US & Canada as well as adding completely new coverage for Mexico, Cayman Islands and Bahamas; this coverage was in 12 MapSets on MapSource that had option to install on my Nuvi 755.
