Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Garmin GSC 10 Speed/Cadence Bike Sensor
Customer Review: Great product Summary: 5 Stars
It took a while to get it set up, to get a flashing red light and green light (barely visible). the unit and mounting hardware was a sufficient fit for my road bike (Trek 2.3). I am using a Bontrager Node 2 computer and it paired right up with no problem. A bit of advice; Do not tighten the ties until the unit is fully tested and accepted. I read this advice elsewhere and glad I followed it.
Customer Review: Speed/Cadence Sensor for a second bike Summary: 5 Stars
I own the Garmin edge 305 with cadence sensor and HR monitor, since I bought a new bike I decided to acquire a second speed/cadence sensor. Very easy to install and very accurate. If you have more than one bike, it is very practical to acquire only the speed/cadence sensor you need instead of buying the complete item (you also will need a mount for the edge for each additional bike you have).
Customer Review: Works as it should Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this unit for a 2nd bicycle, the first Garmin GSC 10 worked as expected and so does this one. For cyclists that haven't used one of these it is simply a unit that gives the cadence of the pedals. Otherwise it works on your bicycle when you use the trainer to give the speed or when you're in a place were the GPS pickup is bad it will continue to give speed to the GPS unit.
Customer Review: Excellent unit Summary: 5 Stars
I have three of these sensors on a 26" mountain bike, 29er, and a road bike. All work perfectly and I am able to move my Garmin 305 to any bike I own. Very cool stuff. This unit is not optional if you want accurate distance information from the garmin, especially on a mountain bike. GPS signals can be lost in canyons and trees. This sensor keeps the computer honest.
I mounted the Garmiin GSC 10 Speed/Cadence Bike Sensor on my Specialized Epic Comp. Installation of the unit itself was easy, but I did have to add a rubber shim when I mounted the magnet to my crankarm to get it close enough for it to read from to the sensor. After the installation was complete and I sinked it to my Garmin forerunner 305 everything works flawlessly.
