Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Garmin GSC 10 Speed/Cadence Bike Sensor
Customer Review: Easy Installation, Great Performance Summary: 5 Stars
I had no problems with this unit at all. It was a piece of cake to install and paired with my Forerunner 50 right away. I left my old device on the bike to compare the Garmin 010 with and they were both a complete match. Later I went on a ride with a friend who has a GPS unit and this Garmin speedometer, cadence and distance device were right with his GPS to within .01. This is a great buy and would easily recommend it.
The sensor is a great addition to the Forerunner 305. I was able to switch out my catseye computer and use this instead. It is very accurate and was very easy to install and set up. I like that it has cadence and a wheel sensor as I will use the bike in the basement during bad weather on my fluid trainer and it will still give me distance. I would suggest it to anyone that is going to bike and run with the Forerunner.
Customer Review: Garmin Finally Got It Right Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this item and, based on the reviews I had read, I also purchased a battery for it because Customers had complained that the Garmins were being shipped with batteries that did not contain a charge anymore. However, to my surprise, the battery worked fin and I really enjoy having the extra cadence information when I download my workout histories. Works great with my ForeRunner 305. I highly recommend it.
Customer Review: Homerun Summary: 5 Stars
This is my first cadence sensor so I do not have anything to compare it to. This cadence sensor combinded with my 305 has completely made my flightdeck obsolute. I was especially impressed by the auto-calibration for the speed sensor feature. No more need to measure your wheel size. Now, if Garmin can just figure out a cheap and acurate power meter there would be no need for more than one computer on your bike.
Customer Review: Best combo sensor on the market Summary: 5 Stars
Easy to install and easy to set up. It just plain works. I have used CatEye computers with the combo sensor and could never get them to work for more than a couple of weeks at a time. Since I installed the unit a couple of years ago, I haven't even thought about it. The pairing with my Edge 305 is flawless; changing tires / sizes is not a problem. The Edge automatically calibrates for the new tire size.
