Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Garmin GSC 10 Speed/Cadence Bike Sensor

Customer Review: Cadence sensor
Summary: 5 Stars

I just got this for Christmas. I mounted it on my bike it was very easy to mount. A couple wire ties. The hard part was figuring out I needed to tell my 310xt to look for it. Once I figured that out it synced right up. I took it out for a short ride to test it. Not sure what function the speed serves as the watch has gps that picks up the speed. Maybe if you are riding somewhere with heavy tree coverage you could still get speed. I use mine on a road bike so I am not sure about this. I like having this other data point to look at post workout. I am also able to check cadence during my ride.

Customer Review: A Great Add-On
Summary: 5 Stars

For less than $50.00 you can't go wrong. First of all, I am the owner of the Forerunner 50 and the sensor works like a charm. I know the description states that it works with the more expensive GPS enabled watches a little known fact is that it also works with the Forerunner 50.

Installation was very easy. It took me about 15 minutes total. I have only been on two rides with it so far but I love it. Now I know how far I've gone as opposed to just knowing how long I've gone. There are other great features like cadence, avg. speed, and max. speed that are useful as well.

Customer Review: IF YOU HAVE SPECIAL WHEELS.......
Summary: 5 Stars

Installed cadence sensor for my edge 305. all went well until I got to the wheel sensor which is supposed to attach to the spokes with a threaded shaft and a plastic "nut" to tighten onto the spokes. I have a super light krysium wheel which have flat spokes. I could not attach the sensor because the spoke was too wide. my solution was to drill a hole in the spoke slightly smaller than the shaft of the magnetic sensor and thread the sensor on. I also could have drilled a slightly larger hole and used their plastic nut reversed on the back to hold the sensor on. Be advised.

Customer Review: Great prodct, easy to unstall and easier to use
Summary: 5 Stars

This was installed in under 10 minutes and it was my first time installing such a device. Instructions were easy to use and no steps had to be repeated in order to complete the install. I paired it with my Forerunner 305 in a matter of a few button pushes I was in business on my stationary bike. The data from Garmin Connect was cool to have and I should gain insight into my cycling. When I bought the Garmin Forerunner 305 I anticipated this purchase as a potential add on. This combination was still a price leader but with great results and no compromises.
