I took a chance and purchased this for GPSMAP 78...the newer model. It does not exactly fit, but with a piece of velcro extension on the closure it still covers the screen perfectly. (and I didn't find one made for the 78 elsewhere) It covers the face and there is no problem pressing the buttons through the plastic, it does not cover the entire piece of equipment...but the equipment is supposed to be waterproof, etc anyway.Customer Review: Good quality, good protection

The case is well constructed and fits the GPSMap 60CSx very well. As noted by many other reviewers, the rear of the GPS unit is inaccessible with the case on, and threading the wrist strap through the tiny hole is awkward, but I feel that these are minor inconveniences for the level of protection gained. Oh, and unlike some of the others I can still operate the buttons through the plastic, albeit with less firmness of touch.Customer Review: Good Fit

I have a GPS 60csx which has developed a few scratches on the screen due to heavy use. I purchased this case to protect device. The case fits very well. Access to all of the control buttons is still pretty good but sometimes I get "double taps" due to the clear front pressing one button when I'm trying to push another.
Still, I highly recommend this case. It is an inexpensive way to protect your GPS investment.

This case is a good way to protect the screen of your 60 CSX from scratches and it is not bulky at all. The only complaint is that there are not enough access holes in the case to get to the unit while it is in the case, so to upload maps, change batteries, etc, you have to take the whole case off - not hard to do, but bothersome.Customer Review: GArmin GPS 60 Case

Fits well. Nicely made. Easy to see and use all face buttons, but the on-off switch is difficult to find and push. Somewhat difficult to change batteries; the case has to be peeled up away from the battery cover - it fastens at the bottom. Must use the belt clip - there is no belt loop, etc. Vendor sent the case promptly.
