Not much to review here. Charger works as it should. Charges a fully depleted battery on my Garmin 255W in little time. But there is one thing I wanted to add in case anyone else did the same thing I did:
The battery life on my unit is horrendous. I went on a 3-hour trip and for the last half-hour I had to rely on the GPS in my head, and my head isn't reliable; that's why I bought a GPS. To the point, I bought the Garmin A/C Power Cable so that I wouldn't have the dangling cigarette lighter cord in the way. I almost knocked the unit off the dash a few times while, for instance, reaching for the volume on the car stereo. So I figured buy this, charge the unit at home before I leave and no more dangling wires in the car. Now, unfortunately, I'm back to using the cigarette lighter adapter that came with the unit.

The Garmin A/C Power Cable for "nuvi" Portable GPS Navigators has given me the flexibility of always having my GPS unit fully charged for immediate in or out-of-vehicle use.
In addition, having a fully charged unit on hand at all times has made sharing my "Garmin GPS Navigator" with other family members very convenient...ready to go at a moments notice!
No need to connect unit for short trips using vehicle power cable. When fully charged, there is more than enough power charge to get to and from an 'around town' destination.
I'm glad I purchased this additional option even though it was after my "Garmin GPS Navigator" purchase.

Although I haven't tried the international adapters yet, the electrical charger works perfectly with my Garmin Nuvi 1390T. It's so convenient to be able to charge my unit in the house or in a hotel/motel room, when a computer isn't handy. In fact, I agree with several other reviewers who felt that this charger should have been included with the GPS unit.
The shipping was prompt, and Amazon offered the best price.
In sum, I am completely satisfied with this purchase, and I have already recommended the charger to friends who have recently purchased Garmin GPS units.

Ordered the ac charger for my Garmin Nuvi from gizgalaxy on Amazon. com11/11/2010. I received it today 11/13/2010. I am very pleased with how fast it got to me and how it was packaged. I needed this wall charger before 11/19/2010 and I received it well ahead of my time limit that I needed. Overall I am very well pleased with gizgalaxy. This item does exactly what you would expect. Recharges your Garmin Nuvi in the comfort of your home (or anywhere else with an electrical outlet.) It even comes with adapters for foreign power outlets. What I didn't know when I ordered it was that it isn't really necessary if you have a computer. The supplied USB download cable also allows you to charge your Nuvi through your computers USB port. While I don't know if there is a difference in recharge times, it is possible to save $15 or $20 bucks and charge with the USB cable.
