I bought this Garmin Carrying case not for Nuvi 660, but for my new Nuvi 650, which measures the same. This means that it fits perfectly into the carrying case, without hanging out as it would in the smaller Nuvi carrying cases. Also, the previous reviewer that said there wasn't a pocket on the front the carrying case - I definitely have a pocket, maybe you got a different model somehow? It would easily fit an SD card, maybe 2 even. I definitely recommend - the size is perfect, the quality of leather is good (a little stiffer, but you want that in a carrying case), and the padding inside is nice - lined with a velvet like material to not scratch the screen. I read the reviews on this product before I purchased it. They were mixed with some people complaining it was difficult to get the GPS in and out of the case and that sometimes it accidently got turned on when you put the GPS in the case. Some people said it was poor quality. The review that convinced me to buy it was someone said "You'd have to be an idiot not to figure out how to use this." Whoever said that was right, it couldn't be easier! The quality is fine. If I could "wish" I would ask that a choice of colors was available and a small strap for carrying or attaching to my purse. Never had a case for my old unit and this one is excellent. Some of the reviews may indicate otherwise. Yes--the leather is a little hard and I find it as tough as can be. Now I can take the unit out of the vehicle, slip it into my brief case or pocket and not have to worry about it being stolen when I valet park. Also I can hook up wile sitting on the patio at Starbucks. The case meets all our needs and is exactly as we expected. If you are looking for a soft leather you might be better off just getting a cloth cover at the dime store.I find the protection offered by the case to be very good unless you plan of playing Frisbee with the unit.Customer Review: Just what you need

The fit with the Nuvi was good. It is leather with a nice feel, but has something inside that is stiff to protect the screen when not in use. I have found that it is important which end of the GPS you insert. If you insert the wrong end, you can inadvertantly turn on the unit as you insert it and run the battery down. By inserting it properly you actaully turn on the unit when you pull it out of the case. I like this as it eleminates the need to find the small slide on button on top of the GPS. Like all Original Equipment Manufactured (OEM) products, it will be more expensive than those made by other companies. But this is a relatively inexpensive item at a MSRP of $18.00, and it's even better at $13.00! If your GPS does not come with a case, make the investment to protect your $300-$400 GPS and buy one. It doesn't have to be OEM, just one that fits properly and is made of a durable material (leather does not rip easily). This case has no special padding for added protection to absorb shock, so it's no different from after market products. I'm very happy with this purchase.
