Customer Review: It Works Like The Original USB Power Cord

I plugged my Kindle 2 into my computer and I was able to transfer files just like the Kindle OEM equipment. This cable also works with the OEM wall-plug power adapter, so I can charge my Kindle 2 from the wall outlet as well. And, just as with the OEM, I can plug the Kindle 2 into my computer and allow it to charge while reading.
It does appear flimsy--not quite as solidly built as the OEM, but appearances can be deceiving. My OEM cord's plastic sheathing began separating from the wire last week, which is the reason I had to go out and purchase this replacement.
I'm perfectly satisfied with the "USB Data Hotsync & Charging Retractable Cable for Amazon Kindle 2" so far, and I may order a couple more: one to leave at work, one to keep in my bag and one for the house. One day perhaps the manufacturer will come up with a snappy name for this device that has fewer words in it.
