Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of KeyOvation VM2-LSB Vertical Mouse - Optical - USB - Silver, BlackCustomer Review: Great for lefties and righties too! Summary: 5 Stars
I'm another software developer who spends 8 to 12 hours a day on my computer. After 25 years of working a mouse with my right hand I was ready to give the other side of my body some exercise. I originally purchased the Evoluent 3 Right Hand and really liked the angle of the wrist and the fairly good resolution, smooth movement, three buttons (bottom one likes to act as a back button for my browser) and nice scroller. So when I started looking for a leftie to try out Evoluent was a natural choice. I've been very happy with this mouse, liked it so much I loaned it to my wife (who actually is a leftie) who has suffered a lot of wrist and back pain. She loves it so much that now I have to go and buy another one for myself!!
My only complaint is, where is the VM3-LSB for lefties? And of course, it would be nice to get the resolution up another notch to be competitive with Logitechs and such, but you can only expect so much from a specialty product such as this.
Overall, highly recommended no matter which hand you write with. My back feels much better and my wife can finally give the tendons in her right hand a break :)
Customer Review: Evoluent VM2-LSB Summary: 5 Stars
I was developing tendonitis in my wrist from using a MS 3000 mouse. This Evoluent mouse eliminates the problem because it allows me to keep my wrist in a natural position without straining tendons in my wrist. The software that comes with this mouse allows me to set the function of the various buttons and to set the speed and precision of the mouse. When I do photo editing in Photoshop I slow down the mouse and set if for maximum precision which allows me to more easily do precise editing. I set the bottom button on this mouse to do nothing as I found I had a tendency to click that button accidentally. I have the top button set to be a left click which is the default setting. I set the middle button to be a right click. I have the extra button on the right side of this mouse set to magnify. It does take some time getting used to this mouse but it is worth it to avoid painful tendonitis.
Customer Review: Wonderful product Summary: 5 Stars
As a software developer, I spend eight to ten hours every day in front of my workstation.
Several years ago, I starting using my left hand for mousing because of chronic pain in my right shoulder. It was a good switch for me, though after a few years I started to feel some pain and general numbness in my left hand after long days at work.
After purchasing the Evoluent vertical mouse, my wrist discomfort and numbness went away after the FIRST DAY of use! If you haven't already read the product literature on the Evoluent web site, go read it.
I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a more ergonomic mouse.
Customer Review: Almost instant relief with just one small problem Summary: 5 Stars
This mouse helped me right away with the pain I had in my fingers and my arm. I very badly needed that, as I really need to be able to work continuously. This mouse does not move the pointer as quickly or easily as the traditional optical mouse I had. That can be hard when you need precision mousing, but that does not mean this is not a great mouse for the intended purpose. I am buying another.
Customer Review: Out of this wolrd, ease of use and comfort are unbelievable! Summary: 5 Stars
I couldn't believe how light and easy to use this was. I'm a right handed person. The scroll wheel is so smooth, and you can configure all 5 buttons as you please, making for a great surfing experience for example (1 button to close a tab, etc.)
Great to use on your laps, desk, etc. Really thanked for.
