I had seen the other reviews but thought I'd get a working one. No such luck. The CD player was dead on arrival. Smooth return process throught Amazon's third party retailer. I rate this "0". I bought the GE 75300 CD/Radio to replace an older model GE 74290A. The CD player crapped out on the older model. I have a GE kitchen and was some what happy with the older model. The GE 75300 is difficult to adjust the volume, the CD player skipped at the slightest disturbance in the room and I was totally not happy with its performance or sound quality. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. THERE ARE BETTER PRODUCTS OUT. The only good point with the GE Spacemaker Under Cabinet Mount CD/Radio is the "light". I will mount the GE 75300 in the garage and use it as a night-light.
I replaced the GE75300 with a Sony FM/AM CD Kitchen Clock Radio IFC-CD523. The Sony sounds awesome (IT ROCKS), does not skip even with the volume all the way up, is easy to operate, can easily turn volume up and down, can turn Bass on and off (I could never find a way to turn the Bass off on the GE). The Sony has no light, but I can live without the extra light. I will NEVER buy another GE CD/Radio for the kitchen.

I bought this cd player a few years ago and it was a new model at the time. Prior to this model, I bought and exchanged the cd player 2 times before finding one with a working cd player. This one worked initially, but then I started having the same problem as before. The cd player would only work once in awhile. The radio works fine. Yesterday the bulb burned out in the light fixture and I cannot find a replacment bulb anywhere. I am going to search online next because the light is the best part of this! I tried to call product support and was informed that this is a discontinued product and no support is available. Save your money as others have said-- It's simply an old product that never worked properly in the first place.Customer Review: Radio=Not good Reception CD=Dead on 3 different units

I've personally owned 2 of these and I bought one for my mother in law....Like others have said the FM antennae is the power cord, so when you have it wrapped up all nice and neat, so your kitchen is not cluttered, you get terrible reception. I live in a suburb of a major metro with many fm and am stations. FM is weak, AM isn't even possible. Static for every AM Station.
On all 3 units of mine the CD player has failed. One right way and the other 2 after about 6-12 months. We don't smoke or have pets...it's not near the stove, microwave, sink or dishwasher....Just to make sure there are no questions about interference or contamination ruining CD player.
GE=Junk Will never buy again.

I too would give this "0" stars, both for the quality of the product and the non existent customer service. From the start this product hasn't worked right, and it's getting worse. The remote never worked, and GE refused to replace even though I had reciept. The radio reception is terrible, with a whooshing sound on a couple of channels, we only get about 3 or 4 stations. Now, the plastic "skin" over the tuning and volume buttons has totally worn away, making the unit look terrible. The only thing that works well is the clock! I had also read on this site that the cord is the antenna, so in the hopes of getting better reception the cord is hanging down onto the counter. What a piece of junk!!
