It lives up to the recommendations. I am disabled but the light Ace 250 doesn't hold me back. The enclosed video is a tremendous help in understanding the LCD panel. It is fun along with great exercise and easy to use. It identifies what is detected quite accurately. Haven't found the "big one" yet but it's fun looking. Simple, easy to use and the battery lasts forever. Works great in most areas, but not in the wet sand. I bought a bounty hunter last spring from bass pro and it didnt work so I took it back, i'm glad now it didnt work because I then bought the ace 250 and I really like it. As a beginner, I can't really compare the Garret Ace 250 to other more expensive detectors. I can say that this detector's performance, features, and ease of use easily exceeded my expectations. Great value!
