Handheld Extendable Tripod Quik Pod Professional with Tripod Legs and Full Accessories
In most photographs you, the photographer, are missing. More than once I have taken a photo of the sky when my camera fell from some precarious perch after the self-timer was set off. That's because it isn't always convenient to take a full-size tripod on vacation.
Sometimes, all you want is to take your own photo at some exotic location, but many modern cameras will not even fit your whole face when you click at arm's length. You can ask someone to take your photo and hope that they framed it properly and didn't shake the camera, but nothing beats a tripod.
Enter the Quik Pod, a handheld, extendable tripod. It is made of sturdy polycarbonate and aluminium, weighs about 100 g and comes with a built in self-positioning mirror to help frame each shot. Fully extended to 480 mm, the Quik Pod can be used to shoot overhead above crowds, around corners and underwater. Also included is a lightweight tripod leg adapter to use it as a conventional tripod. You would not want to use any camera heavier than 500 g on this tripod.
It's a shame this wasn't invented any sooner!

Never again will you have to ask a stranger to snap your photo at some exotic destination. QuickPod at arm's length and the self-timer on hour control literally let you put yourself in the picture. There's even a cool little mirror so you can make sure you're in the picture.
This very clever design weighs a few ounces and with the accessory kit clips to your belt. The accessory clip includes a little set of tripod legs.
You simply need to get one of these. With a lightweight (under 500 grams / 15 ounce) still or digital camera, it lets you put yourself in the picture anywhere. You can also use it to get shots over the crowd or behind you. It's great for bloggers who want to post more interesting stills and videos.
QuikPod is one of those "why didn't I think of that?" inventions and is incredibly useful. You'll wind up buying one or two for yourself and as gifts. In short, a great product.

I have always been the photographer in my family so I am rarely in a picture. I recently took the Quickpod to Disneyland and now the whole family gets in the picture! I just kept my camera attached to it the whole time. When you don't want to use it, you just telescope it down. Also, if you crop the picture just right, (in photoshop or whatever) sometimes you can't even tell you're holding the camera. Your framing of the scene will always be a little off because you can't look through the camera, but a little tweaking on you're computer afterwards and all is well!
Also, if I need a regular tripod, it does that too! I highly recomend the Quickpod if you are the official photographer of the family!

I bought this for a friend as a gift. She always takes the camera with her one hand to take pics of herself or a friend with her. This product eliminates the possibility of cutting yourself or your friend out of the picture. It is also great for going to concerts because you can raise the stick over everyones heads to snap your shots. This has to be one of the BEST gadget items I have ever purchased. I do a lot of hiking and this is the greatest for taking picutes with myself in the shot. Its lightweight and easy to use. It comes with a small 3 legged tripid that attaches to the Quickpod if you want but I didn't even put that with my other camera "stuff." The Amazon price was really competitive. I have used it several times and find it definitely a keeper!
