This is a mom's dream come true. I no longer have to fight with my son over doing vocabulary lessons because this little machine makes it fun for him. My brother, whose vision is affected by his disability, really loves this Franklin. The buttons are large, and the size of the display font can be adjusted so it's easier to read. It's also much less expensive than the other (more complicated) versions.Customer Review: great tool for school

I bought this speller for my 5th grade son for Christmas and it is terrific. Not only does it help with spelling but it also gives my son definitions of the words. Even my 2nd grader loves it. Totally worth the money. Sorry I didn't get it earlier!Customer Review: worth the money

I bought this talking dictionary for my 8 yr old son. He loves it.
Let's face it. You make anything in to a little gadget for kids to control and they are all for it. Educational and fun.
He can use it in school with the sound off.

I gave my son this for his eighth birthday and he has been much more enthusiastic about reading since receiving it. He has no trouble using it and has been more motivated that in the past to read independently. I highly recommend this!
