The Flip Ultra Series Camcorder is truly as simply as it seems and sounds. Not only is it simple, but the video quality is quite nice and the ultra portibility is an added bonus.
The camera has a 1.3 second start-up time which is really useful. I brought this camera with me to France and the short start-up time lead me to get some pretty amazing shots.
The interface (as far as buttons go) is extremely simple. My grandmother could use this product. And speaking of simplicity, the camera's built-in USB stick is excellent because you no longer have to fiddle around with a USB cord.
The quality of the video is also excellent especially considering the price of the camera.
I did, though, have a little bit of trouble loading the videos onto my laptop with the built-in program with which the camera comes. The software locked up on me and I had to restart my computer. This only happened once, though.
The software is also fairly simple to use.
All in all, this camera is an excellent camera for those who are looking for portablity, ease, and something within thier budget.

Rosie O'Donnell has nothing but high praises for the Flip Video. She has shared with all of her bloggers what she can do using the Flip Video camera. Just recently she used the Flip Video, in it's waterproof case under water and the quality of the video is just awesome.
She even plans on doing an online help desk for some of the bloggers having difficulty uploading the video.
Rosie currently has a bunch of Flip Video of "Shady" a squirrel that visits her home daily It's so great to see her creativity to challenge the squirrels to get their walnuts etc. She captures scenes that can't be seen to so many of us. She even took a video of an inguana in Florida walking along the ramp.
The best of them all is of the dolphins with the most recent shot of the dolphin under water in Florida.
Many of her bloggers trusted her word and bought the Flip Video for Christmas presents and the feedback to her is awesome.
I don't have one as I have to save up for one, but I know I will enjoy it once I get it! :)
Customer Review: Great for capturing spontaneous video moments!

I bought this camera as a gift for my daughter, who always wanted to play with my much more expensive Sony camcorder. She is 7 years old, and she loves it! It is so easy to operate, that she was able to master the controls in minutes. Because of its relatively cheap price, I basically let her have full control of it, and after about two weeks or so, noticed that she captured some amazingly funny and delightful moments with her younger sister. It was easy to download and save the videos to be uploaded to vimeo.com, to be distributed among family members, etc. The quality of the video is good enough for web/e-mail distribution, and certainly better than most cell phone capture of videos. It is so good that I have decided to buy my own, so that I can carry it around with me. First use would be to mount it inside my car during my long roadtrip from Alaska to Washington, DC. Then, perhaps I'll have it with me during my bike commutes just in case. It might be great for accident documentation, potentially even medical use. The first one we got was broken (crashing) but Amazon overnighted us a replacement and I was extremely satisfied with their issue resolution!
Once we got our working one (2 days from receiving the broken one) it worked perfectly and has continued to work ever since.
It's really the perfect little camera for my nine year old daughter. She uses it when we go to museums and botanical gardens and has been using it to document our move to New Zealand. It goes through batteries at a decent clip so I recommend NiMH rechargeables or stocking up if you plan to use it a lot. It's not as battery hungry as our little digital still camera, however, which is pretty remarkable.
The PC software is easy to use and makes getting video off or the camera and getting it organized very easy.
Highly recommended for simple low-frame rate point and shoot video for kids.

Flip Video Ultra Series F260P 60-Minute (Pink) Camcorder + Accessory Kit
I bought this camera (not in pink, of course) for my husband's birthday and he loved it. I have since bought 2 more as gifts and the pink one for myself. The only downside for Mac users is that most of the 'fun' editing features don't work with a Mac, just Windows. My sister (for whom I bought one as a gift) has a PC and really enjoys the editing, adding graphics to the corners of her videos, splicing together small videos, and the list goes on. The quality of the image is extremely high, as is the sound. The plug-and-play feature of the videocam is terrific. The size is perfect for a large pocket, fanny-pack, or purse. It makes a great gift for a birthday, Christmas, graduation, or just because!
