So far it works just as I thought it would. Its sturdy, and didn't cost as much as other mini-stands do...the stands that are cheaper in price than this one are also cheaper in quality.
I am glad that I was able to get this flip stand brand, to go with my flip camera.
It also works with my other digital cameras, so it works great for timed still digital pictures...of course my wife's professional canon is to heavy for it, but that's to be expected it wasn't made for that.
Great to have video that is hands free and not shaky!

Purchased rather on a whim along with my Flip camera and am grateful I did. The mechanics are very simple and user-friendly, and my girls like the interchangeable tips. I agree with an earlier reviewer that the packaging was a bit excessive. I purchased the Flip intending for it to get a lot of young use around our house, and it has. The children make delightful, spontaneous videos, but their camera work can be dizzying. When they use the tripod, their videos are infinitely more viewable by adults.
I think a necessary addition for young users.

You can't own a Flip Video (or any camera) without this nifty, lightweight tripod. It's a sturdy metal tripod that weighs about 12 ounces. The interchangeable rubber tips are a cool idea, but not really necessary unless you are a total "mix 'n match' freak. The legs are really flexible, which means you can mount this on just about any uneven surface. It would have been nice if they included a clip for vertical surfaces, but hey, for the price, it's a steal.

This is a little goofy looking but fun anyway. It isn't very big but is sturdy so you don't have to worry about it tipping over, plus the flip I use it with is not that heavy. The legs are plenty strong and will adjust to grasp anything it can wrap around. Definitely a handy little deal for videoing yourself or some other group picture like a discussion or something. Great. Comes with a few color changes for the "feet" which is -- I'm not sure what that is-- excessive perhaps? The tripod is quite stable and the bendy legs are able to conform to whatever base upon which they sit. You can set this thing on an incline (rock for instance) or wrap the legs on a limb or bar. Pretty cool. We own three flip video camcorders. They are great for the entire family -- kids love them!
