This tripod for the Flip Ultra is very good and I highly recommend it. Small hand movements look huge when you playback your videos on a large screen TV. It makes your videos look much better when the Flip is steady and not moving all the time. The price is great and the quality is excellent. It is well made and feels like it will last the lifetime of the Flip. It attaches easily to the mount on the bottom of the Flip and comes with extra sets of feet in colors so it will match your camcorder. It is five inches tall and the legs are infinitely adjustable. The legs will also grasp objects so you can put the Flip on a stable mount just about anywhere. Although, I would not use this method on anything that is moving, it doesn't grip tight enough for that. There are other mounts you can get to fasten the Flip to bikes and helmets.Customer Review: Perfect, essential add-on for Flip camcorder owners

I have an expensive Digital SLR with multiple lenses. But for a camcorder, I wanted something simple, light, and small that coulde be used to record family events and sudden picture opportunities. The Flip mino HD is perfect for this purpose. Picture quality outdoors is very good. Indoors, without flash, the quality was much better than expected as long as there is a light source like sunlight. There is no flash. The best part of the story is the way videos are transfered to the computer and the ease with witch pictures can be shared. This is a very well thought out product.
What could be improved? Almost everything but the software tranfering videos to your computer, but the simplicity and ease of use would be compromized.

The Flip MinoHD is a fine product for basic video. It is easy to use and can be started up quickly to get those "special" moments. I give it five stars despite a couple minor problems. The audio could be better and the 2x digital zoom is lousy. But if you want to make art, a more expensive camera is in order. If you want to get people hanging around at your party or baby's first steps, this is superb. I also use it professionally as a communications trainer. If I am working with a client, sometimes they may not realize how they are coming across. I will take the Flip MinoHD out, shoot and play back in my computer all in a very short time. I recommend this to anyone. I also recommend one of those inexpensive mini-tripods.Customer Review: A must-buy for the Flip

Do yourself a favor and buy this mini-tripod for the Flip. Compared to what I spent on the actual Flip, this mini-tripod is a bargain and it really helps keep my videos from being too shaky. To use it, you screw it on to the bottom of the Flip and then adjust the 3 bendable legs into whatever position you want them to be in. For storage, the 3 legs also fold straight and tight so it doesn't take up a lot of room in your bag. One surprise I found that I hadn't thought about before was that there isn't always a good place to put the tripod to get the perfect angle for your video. So, I learned to just stack things up like books or boxes and place the tripod on top of that and then the angle is fine.
