This little digital camcorder is awesome! It's not meant for hours of recording; it's ideal for short little clips (think of the Flip television commercials)that you would post to your Facebook account, or to a personal blog. It's extremely easy to use and transfer videos to your computer. It takes two AA batteries and they last a long time (not like AA's in a regular digital camera that eats them up).
About a six months after I bought my camera I had it in my purse at a baby shower and a little girl stepped on my purse, breaking the camera lens. I contacted Cisco (manufacturer of Flip) and asked them about having the lens replaced. For $79 they offered to send me an identical replacement. They guaranteed it in two weeks, it arrived in about a week and a half. The entire staff that I dealt with at Cisco was very helpful.
I have taken it on two vacations already and captured a lot of really fun things on video (especially while in Disney World!). It's also super compact and lightwieght. I do recommend purchasing a hard shell case for it though. It comes with a soft sleeve case which doesn't offer much protection. I absolutely recommend this digital camcorder to anyone who likes to take short little videos.
