I ordered the Flip camcorder when I saw that it was on sale for $50.00 -- I thought to myself that I couldn't buy a decent still camera for that price, and I could use it for both still photos and for short recordings of videos. It arrived in a few days, and I'm ecstatically happy with it.
The interface is simplicity itself - it's so easy to use that my 10-year-old son used it at a wedding to record the antics of a 2-year-old boy. The supplied software works fine, and it works like a charm with my MacBook's iMovie software as well. It seems very rugged and well made, thus far.
It works, it works well, it works as advertised, and I truly couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I decided to buy this device after first watching the test shots on Youtube. I have to say that it is everything I wanted. The only thing I do not like is that there is only one function on the camcorder and that is to shoot videos. I thought there'd be a way for me to take actual photos but there isn't. It is so simple to use that it may feel a little complex when you first get it but it really is just as easy as it looks.
It is adorable, sleek and lightweight. It looks expensive but as you can see, costs next to nothing. It comes with a cute carrying case and all the cords needed to transport your footage to a TV or computer. I would strongly recommend this product.

I have an expensive hand-held video camera and although it is easy to use it is still cumbersome and if I want to e-mail videos of my twins to friends & family I have to buy some special software to make the files small enough for e-mail. So, I bought the Flip and it is EASY to use, you can grab it, turn it on, and start shooting all with one hand. Plus saving videos onto your computer for your own use or for e-mailing is a snap. The software is built right in. I am extremely happy with the Flip. And because it's only about as big as a cell phone, when I take my twins to the park I actually stick it into my back pants pocket so that I can whip it out and start taping at any special moment.Customer Review: I'm extremely pleased!

I decided to purchase the flip after a co-worker told me how much he loves it and that it's an every parent must have! I eventually want to purchase a really nice HD camcorder but in the meantime I figured I would give the 30 minute flip a try since amazon had it for so cheap. I LOVE it!!! It is so easy to use, and simple to upload videos onto your computer. You can snap pictures out of your videos and make movie mixes.
This product is so much better than a bulky camcorder because I can carry it everywhere with me, its only slightly bigger than my cell phone. I've caught all my 5 month old daughters cute moments on video now and definitely recommend this camcorder!

I bought this for my older son, but it was his 8 year-old brother who took to it immediately and started filming his own Star Wars lego movies to load to You Tube. Don't bother for a video camera with all kinds of features when a flip takes excellent video as easy as point-and-shoot like a camera.
You can upload videos easily to the Flip user's website or You Tube, and even create still pictures from single frames out of the video. I couldn't believe how quick the kids figured it out. Best of all, I got it on Amazon at the time on a special promo for only $54 and free shipping through Prime.
