I am so happy with this product - i only wish I would have ordered the 60 minute version, but since i usually have my tiny laptop with me it isn't too big of a deal to dump my videos.
i bought this to make videos of my dog being cute and it works perfectly for that. i carry it with me in my tiny vera bradley libby purse no problem so its great for capturing an eclectic mix of things.
i recently visited my 86 year old grandmother and the flip was perfect for whipping out and using to interview her about my grandfather, my great grand parents, and Depression life - things that might have been lost if not for the convenience of the flip! best purchase i've made in a long time!
would i use it as my primary video camera? probably not, but right now meets my needs very well.

I bought this little camcorder for my 10 year old son for his birthday. I wanted him to have something to capture small moments with friends before we move 2400 miles away next month. It's so easy to use, even for a child (with a little adult supervision). The product worked flawlessly right out of the box, uploaded to our PC without any problems, and with the new program FlipShare, you can burn your video clips to DVD.
For those of you who don't want to spend a lot of money on a gift for a loved one or friend, get this. At $55.00, it is a fantastic price point for gift-giving. Definitely worth the money.
I'm going to get the Flip UltraHD for myself, now that I see how well this little Flip Ultra 30 minutes version works. Have fun with it!

I was a little wary of this product at first because I thought how could something so small be any good.This product is so simple to operate and took little time to figure out.My only complaint is that the little red button in the middle that you stop and start recording needs to be pressed perfectly.My fingers are too big to press it alone I need a pencil eraser end but it works fine with it.I was able to easily email the video and make a neat movie with background music that looked professional with the included software.This is a really cool gift and I am amazed how small it is.This would be perfect for anyone who is looking to replace their old vhc(tape) bulky camcorder.I applaude Flip Video.It was also givin the green light by Oprah!Customer Review: Easy, Install Java, Intuitive

I opened the velvet pouch, installed the batteries, read how to turn on and started taking video! As easy as that! Plugs right into one's computer in the USB port. I didn't have Java and a cousin downloaded java from the Internet (free). The Help links do... help. I was able to visit a local museum to see a special item, take about 8 short video clips, EDIT the clips with instructions from the help links, and I'll be darn if the software doesn't put together a MOVIE (with or without music) in moments. Then, just following the buttons, was able to upload to YouTube in moments. It's easy, (once you have java, if needed), and intuitive to use. The video quality on YouTube isn't as sharp as on my computer - but WOW!
