I absolutely love my Flip Ultra Camcorder! I highly recommend it! I am one of those people who just wants something handy for those special moments that just jump up and demand video. I hate lugging anything big around and this fits in my purse perfectly. I don't expect to make movies like DeMille or Spielberg, I just want to record family and fun and this fits the bill! I've taken my recorder to the river (highly recommend the aquapac), to Disneyland, weddings, sledding in the snow with the grandkids and videotaping just how darn cute they are! My grandkids are always asking me to videotape them now and make a movie-they think they are stars! I also have to tell you that customer service is great! I originally had a problem with my flip video and sent it in to be fixed. They said they couldn't fix it so they sent me back a new one! No hassle customer service. In summary, good customer service, the price is right, easily downloads and shares, and the sound and picture quality is much better than I had expected. There's something WRONG with this product!
I've had it for about 3 hours now and can't find a single thing I don't like about it! I was expecting fingerprints to show up on the body from what I read in an earlier review but there's none. The body of the one I received doesn't shine and feels like velvet almost. Reviews led me to believe the LCD display would have a great picture (which it does) but I was surprised at the quality of its output when viewed using Windows Media Player! I've had no problem with sticky buttons either.
The instructions are a little skimpy but The Flip is really intutitive so that isn't really a problem.
AHH! I know what the problem is...
IT'S TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE! This is really one heck of a product and you won't be sorry if you purchase one! It's not a $10,000 top-of-the-line camcorder used by the 6 o'clock news but I wouldn't be surprised to see an occasional newsclip taken by private citizens using this device.

This is a great camera. I got mine yesterday (the black and 30 minutes model). First of all it looks really nice. It also weights very little compared to most camcorders. It's also good that it uses flash memory because it is very reliable and sturdy. It's very simple to use and it has stunning video quality for such a small camera. The video looks better on a tv or computer screen than my $350 Sony HC-48. It is also mac compatible and downloads easily into imove or final cut express. It is also very easy to download videos onto a pc with the flip.

Overall this is a solid little camera. Considering the price it is amazing. You save a bunch of money on tapes and get very good resolution for such a small camera. I highly recommend the flip camcorder.
Customer Review: GOT TO HAVE IT...COMMON SENSE ITEM

I am a working multi-taking Mom with not a lot of time on her hands. My husband came home with this wonderful new item and told me that it would make my life easy. So, I played with it a little and did some recording and it worked great. Then as usual I was rushed for time and needed to do a special birthday wish and what better way then to send a video of kids wishing their grandparent a Happy Birthday. HERE IS THE KICKER.....IT TOOK ME 7 MINUTES TOTAL AS A FIRST TIME DOWNLOADER. I am all about this product! Now, I record and download all the time. It is just that simple. This company has nailed it! I was so impressed that I run out and bought a belated birthday gift for the grandparent we sent the video to and guess what.....they can do it too. It is NOT intimidating (which is key). It is all common sense and you just use common sense and it works......you don't have to have a PhD in electronics to make it work. I bought this over the new Flip Mino because of the fact this one uses AA batteries. after taking a test video on the way home, I promptly inserted the USB adapter into my computer, using a USB extender because I don't have a laptop. The installer informed me that a new version of DivX was available, so I installed it. after that, while ignoring the on board software altogether, I simply dragged the .AVI files onto my desktop, and while having a small DivX logo in the bottom right of the video, the video played GREAT!!! this camcorder does SUPURB in low light situations and captures the features on peoples faces perfectly. I have not uploaded any videos to Youtube yet but can expect them to be great quality. Also, I have had NO problems with the record button already knowing that you had to press it until it clicks. The zoom is useful but pixilates slightly, but no problem there.
Overall I rate this product 5 stars and defiantly recommend it to a friend.
