Vector graphic programs like Open Office Draw need a more accurate pointing device than a touchpad or mouse. At least my maturing eyes and hands think so. After studying several more expensive options, I ordered the I-Pen. It has proven to be a good choice. The "hover" feature eliminates unintentional mouse clicks that follow me on every laptop touchpad I've used. The pen pad that accompanies the I-Pen provides better tracking than I need for my engineering drawing. Once the cursor is positioned properly, I found pressing the pen stylus downward very intuitive and less prone to induce unwanted movement.Customer Review: Better than expected

I use a wacom tablet at the office and when I took some time off and forgot it there was feeling lost on my macbook. I ordered this i-pen to hold me till I got back to the wacom and did not expect much from it. Well, was I surprised. It works really well, surprisingly well. The USB cable is annoying but I chose the wired one, and I think there is a wireless version now, to be cheap so no complaint really. It is very nice to hold, accurate, very accurate, and the tip and button for clicking work great.
All around great mouse, and I think I am going to get another one.

Good seller, delivery was even early.
Works as advertised. Took a little getting used to, but remember the first time you used a mouse?
Software included is great! It gives you full control over both mouse and pen settings yet leaves other pointing devices unchanged. A slow speed gives accuracy as good as any pad.
Ever need a digital signature? It does that too!
If you ever wanted to work with graphics programs this is the way to go.
If I had any issues it would be that the lack of a scrolling control.

Summary: 5 Stars I do alot of online tutoring and i was tired of using my regular mouse for the handwriting feature.
Thisis very nice. very precise. Now i write faster and clearer in less time too. Why didnt i think of it earlier :)
Quality is good too. The only problem is the software that transfers the hand written text in to typed letters. Looks like there is a delay in writing when using the software that comes with this pen. I am not using that features so its not bothering me at all.

I purchased this and received it several days earlier than the estimated delivery date. When installing the software I was certain it wouldn't work with Win 7, but indeed, it worked just fine. That's all I can ask for this price--a product delivered swiftly and usable. Even more than that, it's a great little device for simple drawing. My Wacom penpad died after many, many years of use, and until I can afford getting another one, this'll do well enough.
