This makes a great cookbook holder in a pinch. I have 2 of these in my kitchen area and they are very useful for paperback or hardcover cookbooks. Plus they don't take up a lot of space on the counter. They won't hold overly large cookbooks like the coffee table ones but excellent for any of the medium-sized celebrity chef cookbooks out these days (e.g. Jamie Oliver, Barefoot Contessa cookbooks). I've used mine for over a decade.Customer Review: excellent product

I read the reviews before purchasing this product, and I have no trouble turning pages or adjusting books. The design is clever and you can't beat the price. I bought three of them (grad student) for research and writing. Fits easily in my backpack, too. The arms are 1.5" wide, so thick books won't fit. Most library books fit fine; you'd need a different device for something like a dictionary or other reference book.Customer Review: Compact, portable, great for music!

I wanted something I could put on a table top to use for my guitar lesson book and it's perfect. It holds the book open, the legs are adjustable to make the posts that hold the book open wider or closer together. It folds flat to take with you though I haven't needed to do this yet.
Terrific price for a very handy product. Beats having to move a music stand around the house.

*PROS: You pay for what you get. The stand is well made for people not expecting to mount a 1 1/2 thick opened book on it.
I'm happy so far, I take it to school, to work, fold it up and throw it in my bag, less than 2cm thick folded flat.Overall I am content with my purchase :)
* CONS: This is not suitable for paperback books since the edges fold downward.

This is exactly what I wanted. The local office stores all have plastic stands that do not hold the pages back, and I was familiar with this wire type from many years ago. Some websites have this item for a gouge price, but this site had it for exactly what I thought it was worth. It came very fast. Love my transaction and product. Thank you.
