First, the two bottles I bought arrived two days early. No complaints about that. Both were in one box which reduced the shipping charge. Again, who doesn't like to save money? There is no odor to the products. Then again, I've had my nose broken several times. Take that with a grain of salt. Finally, instead of pouring it into the shredder, which is what I thought I should do, I contacted the maker of my shredder. They told me to pour some of the oil onto a piece of paper and shred it that. Using that technique would ensure that all of the cutting parts are oiled with the least amount of waste.Customer Review: Didn't believe it!

This oil is a perfect complement to your Fellows shredder. I have had several shredders made by other companies but I would always have to replace them. So I decided to spend more money and get a Fellows. In order to keep this one, I followed the review and purchased the oil.It does makes the shredder run smoother and with less grinding noise. I oil the blades after I empty each basket and it does help. The price is cheaper than at a retail store. I would recommend this to anyone who owns a fellows shredder and wants to keep it awhile.Customer Review: Oils Well

This oil comes in a plastic container with a nozzle that makes it easy to lubricate the shredder. Yes, it is outrageously priced but it does the job it supposed to do. I just don't believe a product should be given a poor rating because of the price. I do believe that price is a factor in the purchase decision but not in the product itself. But, that's just my opinion. When I run out of the Fellowes lubricant I will refill the container with vegetable oil because of the price but not because of the quality of the Fellowes oil.Customer Review: Necessary for proper shredder maintence!

Plan and simple...If you own a Shredder, protect your investment with Fellowes Shredder Oil. The owners manual for my Shredder says that it should be oiled every 200 - 300 sheets. Easiest way to do this...Apply some shredder oil to a couple of those worthless pieces of junk mail we all get and run them through your shredder.
Also, the red end cap on the extension nozzle worked nicely to prevent oil from dumping all over the place when I dropped the bottle of shredder oil the first day I had it!

Now that I've finally learned to read and follow directions, I know why a couple of shredders crapped out on me so quickly. Every time I empty the waste bucket, I spray a bit of this lube on the cutters, and run them forward and reverse. So far, my latest shredder is running smooth as silk, with this simple bit of prevent. maintenance.
The oil itself seems very good, no smell or spatter when I'm lubing the cutters. And a little bit goes a long way.
