This shredder is AWESOME!! I wasn't very happy with the 1st shredder (NOT a Fellowes) I had purchased a couple of years ago so I decided to replace it and I'm REALLY glad I did. My new Fellowes shredder is strong, powerful, and much quieter than my old one; plus it doesn't overheat or jam up like my old one. Both were 8 sheet capacity (not that I would usually try 8 at a time) but my old one was basically a 1-2 sheet where the Fellowes will easily handle 4-5 sheets all day. I am totally impressed!! I kept replacing junky China-mart brand shredders at about half the price, my latest was overheating so much I expected a fire. This is everything described. I am glad I fought that urge this time around, paid a little extra and bought this premium brand shredder.
The added piece of mind from the touch sensor means I can let my toddler back in the home office again (just got to find a way to keep him from turning off the computer all the time). Some people reviewed this and said the touch sensor was too sensitive but I really don't find that to be the case.

Looked around for a while before purchasing this shredder. Very happy with it! It's a lot quieter than the other shredders I've used. Fantastic for everyday home use. The bin is quite large so I'm not constantly having to empty it, and I'm even able to put plastic bags in the bin to catch all the trash so there's not a huge dust storm and paper particles going all over the place when I empty it.
I've also used it to shred old credit cards and it works great for that, too though I wouldn't stuff several of them down at once. Very happy!

I have had this shredder for about 6 months. I only use the shredder a few times a month, but it has worked flawlessly. It is quieter than my old shredder, which was three years old. It is relatively quick and shreds relatively easy, unless I try to shred 8-10 pages at one time, but it still works well. The sensor takes some time getting use to since I sometimes shred paper that is folded and I would touch the sensor often. Other than that, I do not have any complaints and I would highly recommend this shredder, especially given the price.Customer Review: Great Shredder

I've had this shredder for about a week now. I love it. We have a small business we run out of our home and need to shread documents daily. It is by far, much better than the off brand shredder it replaced. The child safety feature is great. It has a metal sensor all around the opening where the paper is to be inserted. If sensor is touched, the shredder will not turn on, great since we have little ones! It is much quieter than our old unit and much heavier/better made. Shreads great. Well worth the money spent. Very happy so far!
